Boyd Machtolff has been the drummer for Damage Inc since the band's inception back in 2003. Bringing raw power to the Metallica classics, Boyd uses a diverse set of skills to provide an authentic Live Metallica feel.

Boyd began his career in percussion as a teenager in Anaheim, California, performing in school and in a few live acts. Subsequently, he was the drummer for Slugburn and Talus before co-founding Damage Inc with Chris Knight, Kevin Knight, and Chris Brightwell. His thunderous toms, double-bass fills, and solid timing have helped make Damage Inc's rhythm section as tight as the songs are powerful.

Lars Ulrich, Neil Peart, and Tommy Lee are all major influences on Boyd's unique style, with a little Vinnie Paul thrown in for fun. Now living in La Mirada, Boyd spends his spare time with his wife Angelica and their three children.
